XRchiving’s Tam McDonald looks ahead in an interview with special guest Dr Jamil El-Imad, Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College London. An authority in the fields of neuro-technology and virtual reality, Jamil is a prolific entrepreneur, noted for co-inventing Virtually Live media, a ground-breaking Metaverse media for live events patented in 45 countries. He is well recognised as a disruptive thinker with numerous inventions relating to brain-computer interfaces, virtual reality and neuro-technology. Jamil frequently presents his pioneering work at TED, The Royal Albert Hall, Princeton University & other prestigious scientific venues.

Donna Baines
Donna is a visionary and energetic chronicler within the Extended Reality, Mixed Reality, Virtual and Augmented Reality, and Web3 spaces. She publishes TruestoryXR, an online publication exploring the potential of immersive and interactive technologies for digital storytelling.
Drew Baker
Based at the Digital Heritage Research Lab at the Cyprus University of Technology, Drew is a specialist in developing documentation standards for the digital preservation of European Cultural Heritage. He was involved in the founding of the original London Charter.
Pippa Bostock
As Director of Development, Engagement and Marketing at The Mary Rose Trust, Pippa relishes sharing the wonders of history through immersive technologies. Her collaborative work in the performance sphere includes work with Manchester International Festival and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Geoff Browell
An XRchiving co-founder, Geoff is a senior archivist and Heritage Lead at King's College London. He chairs AIM25, a London charity representing 150 cultural organisations, and has a long history of immersive technology projects focusing on social good.
Jamil El-Imad
Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College London, Jamil is an authority in the fields of neuro-technology and virtual reality, noted for his work with The Brain Forum and his numerous inventions relating to brain-computer interfaces, virtual reality, and neuro-technology.
Ronald Haynes
A Senior Computer Officer at the University of Cambridge, Ronald researches collaborative XR and immersive technologies for cultural heritage and co-chairs IIIF 3D Community and Technical Specification Groups. He holds ACM, BCS, Computer Society, and IEEE membership.
Marinos Ioannides
Dr Marinos Ioannides is UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage director, based at the Cyprus University of Technology's Digital Heritage Research Lab. As EU ERA Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage, he is establishing a Centre of Excellence in its digital documentation.
Brian Kavanagh
As a lecturer in the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College London, Brian has a particular interest in digital adaptation at non-profit classical music performing organisations and the future of classical music in an increasingly digital economy.
Michael Mainelli
Current Lord Mayor of the City of London, Michael is also Emeritus Professor of Commerce and Honorary Life Fellow of Gresham College, and founder/chairman of Z/Yen Group, the City of London’s leading think-tank, promoting societal advance through better finance and technology. Michael is an honorary Fellow of King's College London.
Tam McDonald
Co-founder of XRchiving and, with his wife Bernice Kaplan, a founder of Cradle of English, Tam is a passionate advocate of the potential for Immersive technologies to enhance Digital Cultural Heritage in EdTech, tourism, and business community engagement.
Amanda Murphy
As Executive Producer of the UK’s largest immersive storytelling project, Storytrails, Amanda brought archive and stories alive using augmented reality. Collaborations with academic and creative industry partners are at the heart of her work.
George Oates
A web software design veteran over almost three decades, George has designed web systems used by millions of people. She has been nurturing a specialisation in the cultural heritage sector, after being lead designer at Flickr since its inception.
Helen Scarlett O’Neill
With a background in immersive performance design, Helen is a specialist in creating interactive performance art and site-responsive experiences, with much of her work produced for Story Trails. She lectures in Contemporary Art Practice at Gray's School of Art.
Vasilapostolos Ouranis
Vasilapostolos is co-founder and chief operating officer of Magos, a Greek start-up specialist company focusing on haptic devices in Healthcare, Education, and Robotics. Their haptic exoskeleton is shaping the future of spatial computing, linking the digital and physical realms.
Karina Rodriguez-Echavarria
Karina has long experience in digital cultural heritage, having been involved in the early days of The London Charter. She is now a principal lecturer and researcher in Computing and Cultural Heritage at the University of Brighton.
Brian Schwab
Director for Interaction Design at the LEGO Group, Brian has a wide-ranging brief to get teams of technical and creative folks to blend tech and toys well, an aspiration that disguises two decades of software achievement at companies like Magic Leap, Sony, and Dreamworks.
Fridolin Wild
Fridolin is a professor at the Institute of Educational Technology of The Open University, where he leads its Performance Augmentation Lab. As a champion of standards innovation, he has led numerous EU and European Space Agency research projects.
Cathy Williams
As Head of Archives & Research Collections at King’s College London, Cathy is a knowledge management and cultural heritage professional with over twenty years’ experience in public and private, national and specialist organisations.
Jane Winters
Jane is Professor of Digital Humanities and Director of the Digital Humanities Research Hub at the School of Advanced Study, University of London. A champion of open-access publishing, she has most recently been elected chair of the Digital Preservation Coalition.
